1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the services provided by Alpha Source Technologies Inc. d/b/a LITICUS.ai ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("User," "Client," or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use our Services.
2. Description of Services
LITICUS.ai provides AI-assisted legal intelligence services, including but not limited to:
- Evidentiary analysis and contradiction identification
- Witness timeline and proximity mapping
- Case law and precedent research
- CIA (Contradiction, Inconsistency, Anomaly) packet preparation
- Expert report support and demonstrative aid preparation
All deliverables are analytical tools intended to support licensed legal professionals. They are not substitutes for legal advice, legal representation, or independent professional judgment.
3. Eligibility
Our Services are intended for use by licensed attorneys, law firms, legal professionals, and their authorized staff. By using our Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to enter into these Terms.
4. Client Responsibilities
- Accurate Information: You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information submitted to LITICUS.ai.
- Confidentiality Compliance: If you are a licensed attorney, you are responsible for ensuring that submission of client information to LITICUS.ai complies with your applicable Rules of Professional Conduct, including Rule 1.6 (Confidentiality) and ABA Formal Opinion 512 (2023).
- Verification: All AI-generated outputs must be independently verified by a licensed attorney before use in any legal proceeding, court filing, or client communication.
- Lawful Use: You may not use our Services for any unlawful purpose, including submitting fraudulent information or attempting to obstruct justice.
5. Payment and Fees
Service fees are presented at time of engagement. All fees are due as specified in your service agreement or invoice. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate Services for non-payment. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion and are described in your service agreement.
6. Intellectual Property
All deliverables, reports, and analytical outputs produced by LITICUS.ai are licensed to you for use in connection with the specific matter for which they were prepared. You may not resell, republish, or distribute our deliverables without written consent. The LITICUS.ai platform, brand, methodology, and technology remain the exclusive property of Alpha Source Technologies Inc.
7. Confidentiality
We treat all matter information submitted to us as confidential. We will not disclose your case information to third parties except as required by law, as necessary to deliver the Services with the assistance of contracted vendors (subject to confidentiality obligations), or with your written consent.
8. AI Disclosure
Our Services incorporate artificial intelligence systems. In accordance with applicable Washington State guidance and ABA Formal Opinion 512, we disclose that AI tools are used in the preparation of our deliverables. All AI-assisted outputs are reviewed by human analysts before delivery. AI outputs may contain errors and must be independently verified.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LITICUS.AI AND ALPHA SOURCE TECHNOLOGIES INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alpha Source Technologies Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or the integrity of the Services.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
